During the school year, all of the teachers in 8th grade will try to accommodate you with late work and make-up work. Late work will typically be accepted with a small deduction (Find out more details about late work in the 8b:Grading tab below). However, during the fourth nine weeks, the 8th grade teachers will adopt a NO LATE WORK POLICY. This policy is put into effect to strengthen the students’ sense of responsibility before they enter the high school. As most of you know meeting a deadline is one of the most important life lessons we must learn. Therefore, absolutely nothing will be accepted late during the fourth nine weeks in any class (Homework assignments, Midterm reports, Field Trip Permission forms, etc.). If a student misses a day they will be expected to complete the work by the due date given to them by their teacher. If the work is a lab, the student will be expected to make-up the work before the deadline date for that lab which will be posted.
